We're fighting to grow the bench of Latino federal judges to help ensure that the legal decisions that shape our society recognize the reality of many of those who live in it. According to the 2020 census, the U.S. white population is shrinking while Latinos are driving U.S. demographic growth. In contrast, 2020 research revealed that Latinos only account for 6 percent of judges on federal appeals courts, and 7 percent of judges on district courts. Meanwhile, federal courts will be dramatically shaping the future of the Latino community through decisions on issues like abortion rights, redistricting, voting restrictions, labor rights, DACA protections, criminal justice, and much more.

It's time for a judiciary that reflects and represents our nation's changing demographics.
